The International Short Hockey Federation plans to enshrine in the official rules of short hockey a number of changes tested at World Club Series games.
In particular, it is planned to introduce changes to the playing field marking requirements: reducing the number of face-off points on the ice from 5 to 3. In addition to a central face-off point, there will now be two more points, which will be placed in the centre of each half of the ice.
Also, a number of official concepts will change. For example, the game will no longer consist of periods, but of 3 thirds.
The new ISHF rule book with all changes should be approved in the near future and published immediately on the ISHF.pro website
