The first month of the ISHF TOP LEAGUE 2022 tournament is coming to an end. And here are some news that will affect the tournament and the teams in April:
- Ilya Yadrenov finds a new challenge for himself. An already strong team, Shest Trolley, collected a new player, Ilya Yadrenov, thereby significantly weakening Uralets, who continue to struggle to make the playoffs. Trolley that take the second place in the standings, 2 points behind the first one, get a strong team player in Ilya, who will help the team to fight for the higher places in the standings and there is a belief that duo “Kechkin – Kutyakov” may become a trio “Kechkin – Kutyakov – Yadrenov”.
- There is a change of power in the Molotoboytsy. On the last day of March the last team of the tournament – Molotoboytsy changed their captain. Ilya Ostrovskiy gave up his duties as a captain, and the leader in points and the best forward of the team – Maxim Boykin, took over the reins of the team. Boykin will take over as captain. As for administrative issues, the team will be managed externally.
- Submerged Voiny. Leader of the standings throughout March, the Ledianye Voiny began to lose ground for the first time since the start of the tournament. Moreover, the team dropped down two lines at once, creating the most serious change in the standings not seen since the third round.
- Goalkeepers are 50% of the team.
A shot on goal only in the opponent’s zone and only after a pass? Not really. The goalie can now become the fifth attacking option of the team, not only by substituting an extra player, but also by shooting from own goal. If he hits the box – the shot or the goal will be counted. So look forward to seeing who will be the first goalkeeper to open the scoring.
